The purrsuit of greatness

Socrates has, on more than one occasion, attempted the impossible. The top of the refrigerator. The unreachable moth. The bottom of a very deep paper bag.

He does not always succeed. But he tries with the seriousness of a philosopher and the optimism of a small animal who has never been told no in a way that stuck.

Greatness, it turns out, is less a destination than a small brave step taken in the direction of something you cannot quite see yet.
